Half or Whole?

Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-IL) went on a childish rant against Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen for a full six minutes at the Judiciary Committee hearing on Thursday. He lambasted Nielsen over Trump’s administration policies on the border, and when Nielsen started to reply, Ms. Gutierrez gathered his purse and makeup and walked out while she was replying to his diatribe.

“The majority on this committee must think you’re doing a fantastic job because they’ve ordered this hearing so you could come before us and look tough and remorseless just in time for the holidays. The remorseless secretary during the holidays,” he sarcastically stated, sneering like a deranged animal.

Gutierrez mocked Nielsen repeatedly and said the Trump admin only did one thing better than the others… lie. His questions, if that’s what you call them, were demeaning, rhetorical, rude, and were just for him to play to the cameras.

He invoked baby Jesus, saying Trump would have possibly killed him.
Recounting the Gospel story of Joseph and Mary fleeing with the infant Jesus to Egypt to escape the wrath of King Herod, Gutierrez declared it was a good thing the Trump administration wasn’t running a border policy then or it would have doomed Jesus.

Here are a couple of Gutierriz’s remarks:

“It is repugnant to me and astonishing to me that during Christmas … a time in which we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, a Jesus Christ who had to flee for his life with Mary and Joseph,” he said. “Thank God there wasn’t a wall that stopped him from seeking refuge in Egypt. Thank God that wall wasn’t there, and thank God there wasn’t an administration like this or he would, too, have perished.”

“Maybe I haven’t gone a lot to Bible school, but I know that part,” he continued. “Thank God. Shame on everybody that separates children and allows them to stay on the other side of the border fearing death, fearing sickness. Shame on us for wearing our badge of Christianity during Christmas, and allowing the secretary to come here and lie.”

During his diatribe, Nielsen remained stoic and quiet, taking some notes. After Gutierrez wiped the froth from his mouth, Nielsen said his accusations of her lying were “fighting words.”

“I’m not a liar. We’ve never had a policy for family separation,” she said. “I’m happy to walk the gentleman through it again. A policy of family separation would mean that any family I encountered in the interior, I would separate. It would mean that any family that I found at a port of entry, I would separate.”

“It would mean that every single family that I found illegally crossing, we would separate. We did none of those. What we did do is uphold the laws that Congress has passed, and we prosecuted those who choose to come here illegally.”

Is he always this angry and unhinged, spitting all over and gesticulating wildly?

As she spoke, Gutierrez got up from his chair and left the chamber. Nielsen smiled and said, “He couldn’t be bothered to stay, so I’m happy to tell the rest of the committee.”

I might remind Gutierrez that it is Congress that passed the immigration laws that Trump is following. He is a member of Congress, so he is a part of the problem.

This smiling, smirking, smarmy, snarky, sarcastic, rude, imbecilic carcass of a human being hasn’t the balls to stay and listen to an honest answer after he sits there and repeats all the major CNN talking points/lies of the day?

And to the people of Illinois, shame on you for voting for this ass half as your representative. He’s a despicable, nasty and arrogant human being.

I’ll go ahead and say it.

Rep. Gutierrez (D-IL) is an ass half.

It would take two of him to make an ass whole.
