No, we’re not going to let her get away with it. She’s been the one that repeatedly has either misspoken, obfuscated, dodged, lied or was unable to answer simple, basic questions about things.
Yes, we’re proud of any new Congresswoman taking office, it’s an honor and a privilege to serve your fellow citizens, or rather it’s supposed to be. To serve are the keywords here. But her goal is to rule. And she’s already put herself in the running for the 2020 election, even though she’ll only be 30 years-old. To be President, you must be 35 by the time you take office. So just add this to the long list of her foibles, she can’t count either.
She got into a major Twitter storm today with Michael Knowles. She put up a photo of her new plaque at her office in D.C. with the message ” “Don’t be fooled by the plaques that we got, I’m still / I’m still Alex from the Bronx”.
Well, she’s still / she’s still lying. Mr. Knowles pointed out that she lived in the Bronx until she was 5 years old and then her family moved to the rich enclave of Westchester, New York, where the average household wealth is $1.2 million a year.
Refusing to admit the facts, she doubled down and said “Yep. As everyone knows, I grew up between two worlds + experienced 1st hand how a child’s zip code can shape their destiny. It was scrubbing those households’ toilets w/ my mother that I saw and breathed income inequality. I decided to make a difference. You decide to do this.”
We don’t believe her at all that she was cleaning toilets with her mother when she was a small toddler. And how do toilet scrubbers become able to move to a million dollar home all of a sudden?
Knowles pointed out that she didn’t grow up between 2 worlds, but that she grew up in Yorktown Heights in Westchester County, New York state, an affluent suburb. And Ocasio-Cortez was forced to change her campaign bio page when she was caught lying about living in two worlds.
She again is claiming to have grown up in the rough and tumble
And as she was called out again for lying again, she blamed it on toxic masculinity. She accused Knowles of “mansplaining with confidence”.
You “good people” of New York deserve every part and parcel of this woman and the incompetent job she’s going to do for you. Embrace it.
