AOC Angry That HER $93 Trillion Bill Going To House Vote

Granted, we don’t necessarily vote our politicians into office just to write new bills to enact new laws, assess more fees, invent new taxes, make up new regulations. So why is it that electing these 535 people has devolved into being just that? It should be an accomplishment, right?

Otherwise, why do we really need 535 of them working “for the American people”, which is what they profess to be doing? No, they aren’t working for us, they are working to rule us with more laws and taxes. Look at what they do? Take from one group, give to another. Invent another social program to assist one special interest group over another group.

So, imagine if you will that you are an American politician, and doing what American politicians do, you decide to write a bill that will remake American society from the ground up, and you believe it is actually a good bill and would do the country untold good.

Wouldn’t you want, no, wouldn’t you demand that your bill be taken to committee, approved, and then taken to the House floor for a vote? That is what your constituents want, correct? That is the established protocol for bills, for over 240 years, is it not?

Then why is this Congresswoman not happy about her own bill being brought to the floor of the House for a vote? Isn’t this the exact reason that you write a bill? To get it voted on and hopefully enacted?

Well, avowed Socialist, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) went on a tweet storm Saturday. She is angry because Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell decided to allow floor vote on her $93 trillion “Green New Deal” this week.

She accuses McConnell of “wasting votes” and that it was a “disgrace” to allow a vote at all on the bill. She is evidently angry by WaPo’s report that some noteworthy Republicans are allowing the far-left wing of the Democrat Party to bring their agenda forward so that they may see which 2020 Democrat Presidential hopefuls fall in line with the Socialist agenda.

“The GOP’s whole game of wasting votes in Congress to target others ‘on the record’, for leg they have no intent to pass, is a disgrace,” Ocasio-Cortez tweeted. “Stop wasting the American peoples’ time + learn to govern. Our jobs aren’t for campaigning, & that’s exactly what these bluff-votes are for.”

Hey Cortez, if you are saying that it’s a waste of time, a disgrace and simply a “bluff vote” to vote on a bill that a duly elected US Representative, namely you, introduced to the House to be voted on, then why did you enter the bill into the House?

Most representatives would consider it an honor to pass committee and be taken to the floor for a fair and open vote. But it angers you?

“I’ve noted with great interest the Green New Deal,” McConnell said last month. “And we’re going to be voting on that in the Senate. Give everybody an opportunity to go on record and see how they feel about the Green New Deal.”

Democratic Sen. Ed Markey, who introduced the Green New Deal with socialist Ocasio-Cortez, claimed last month that McConnell allowing a vote on the bill was his way of secretly “sabotaging” it.

“Don’t let Mitch McConnell fool you: this is nothing but an attempt to sabotage the movement we are building,” Markey tweeted. “He wants to silence your voice so Republicans don’t have to explain why they are climate change deniers. McConnell wants this to be the end, this is just the beginning.”

How can it be sabotaging the bill by allowing to to be voted on and possibly to be voted into law? This is the way things are passed into law Mr. Markey and Ms. Cortez.

“This isn’t a new Republican trick,” Markey continued. “By rushing a vote on the #GreenNewDeal resolution, Republicans want to avoid a true national debate & kill our efforts to organize. We’re having the first national conversation on climate change in a decade. We can’t let Republicans sabotage it.”

WaPo reports that the Republicans are pushing for a mid-week vote to see who supports the plan, even in their own party. The plan is a massive government takeover of private industry and government overreach in banning cars, motorcycles, buses, airplanes, and even cows. Yes, they want to ban cows, because they fart too much. No, this isn’t a joke. It’s a reality.

They’ll also retrofit/renovate 100% of all buildings in America to be energy efficient and ecologically sound. They will rid the US of all fossil fuels and nuclear power within 10 years, or we’ll die in 12 according to the Green New Deal. That means no gasoline, no diesel, no natural gas, no oil as a lubricant, none of the byproducts of oil or nuclear.

There is no wiggle room on this, we will all die in 2031 if we don’t implement this Green New Deal NOW. According to the Democrats “climate change scientists”, it is settled science and a solid timetable.

12 years and we’re dead, unless we go with Ms. Cortez and her GND.

Look a little deeper and you’ll find that even the Socialist AFL-CIO, America’s largest organized labor union, totally dissed Cortez’s Green New Deal in a letter made public. The Greeen New Deal “could cause immediate harm to millions of our members and their families.”

“We welcome the call for labor rights and dialogue with labor, but the Green New Deal resolution is far too short on specific solutions that speak to the jobs of our members and the critical sections of our economy,” the letter from the AFL-CIO Energy Committee stated. “It is not rooted in an engineering-based approach and makes promises that are not achievable or realistic.”

“We will not accept proposals that could cause immediate harm to millions of our members and their families,” the letter continued. “We will not stand by and allow threats to our members’ jobs and their families’ standard of living go unanswered.”

When you’ve got out and out communists, i.e. the labor unions resisting a Socialist initiative, then you are required to take a long, hard look at it.
